Day 3

Bit of a miserable day - if you don't like persistent drizzly rain. On the other hand if you like vegetation, these are good days - luxuriance will follow!

Day 2

Image
This is still very much early days. Compelling posts will shortly start to accumulate. Nice morning today -  a pink dawn at 4.15am, then refreshing yoga, coffee at Bould Brothers - possibly the best in Cambridge. Off to the Queen's Head in Newton for quick lunch and then a walk around Fowlmere Reserve. Blue Damselflies were in abundance and procreating the next generation; hard to understand how that coupling works - but it looks very impressive  Today's pictures -  a little El Greco from the Fitzwilliam (isn't that a crazy green for 1600) and a foggy morning at Wicken Fen a few weeks ago Then I thought of a song for the day - a good one to start off with "Little Maggie" by the Stanley Brothers - just innocent magic really https://www.bing.com/search?q=little+maggie+stanley+brothers&form=EDGEAR&qs=PF&cvid=f07ff6ad1b8d4301afd2f1611dc1d63f&cc=GB&setlang=en-US&elv=AY3%21uAY7tbNNZGZ2yiGNjfMKGNf4VDAoJG8OCysC7EF6a6jFYt%212m5sI80%2

Day 1

Image
I'm just starting this blog as a free flowing, flexible content summary or response to life in Cambridge. I will be including photos, maybe the odd restaurant or coffee shop review, musical thoughts for the day; musings on nature, books and on life. Ideally it will be a pleasant place for a browse. My set-point tends to be optimistic and I look for and find uplift pretty easily. So perhaps I can get the ball rolling with a couple of pictures
